Calcutta Tiljallah Relief (CTR) is a US based charity, approved
and registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501
(c)(3) "Not For Profit" organization in 1998. The
registered EIN # is 22-3589193.
Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Codes stipulates
the rules and regulations under which the organization must
function, including the record keeping and filing requirements.
A formal tax return is submitted annually.
Further, the State of New Jersey, from which CTR operates,
has also registered CTR under the Charitable Registration
and Investigation Act and stipulated the conditions under
which CTR must operate, including record keeping and filing
requirements.
All solicitation materials are required to have the following
appended:
"Information filed with the Attorney General concerning
this Charity solicitation may be obtained from the Attorney
General of the State of New Jersey by calling 973-504-6215."
The organization has complied with all the Federal and State
requirements in the years of its operation, maintaining stringent
records of monies received and disbursed.

Mission: As
stated in the registration filing, the mission of CTR is "To
help indigent Anglo-Indians in India".
Objectives:
Currently CTR has the following objectives:
To
provide a monthly pension to impoverished, senior citizens.
To
sponsor the education of needy, young Anglo-Indian children.

Donations & Fund Raising
Events:
CTR relies on donations from friends and well wishers to
fund its projects. In addition, fund raising events are also
organized.
Publishing:
CTR also publishes books which are privately funded and whose
sales proceeds go to the charity. At present the following

Blair Williams, a Chartered Engineer from London, has been
in the US since 1976, working as a manufacturing executive
in various International companies. In India he was a Gazetted
Officer (Mechanical Engineer) on the Indian Railways and was
appointed to the Railway Board in Delhi. Blair is currently
an Industry Professor of Manufacturing Engineering in New
York.
He is the author of Manufacturing for Survival (Pearson 1997)
and Anglo-Indians – Vanishing Remnants of a Bygone Era
(CTR 2002).
His hobbies and interests include: Life, Golf, Zen Buddhism,
Anglo-Indian ethnicity and running Calcutta Tiljallah Relief
(CTR) Inc, an organization dedicated to helping indigent Anglo-Indians
in India.
