Anglo-Indian seniors queuing for pensions

Help us help other needy Anglo-Indians in India

Established in 1999, the sole purpose of CTR is to help the indigent Anglo-Indian in India.

To this end, CTR has two major thrusts:

  • Providing pensions to seniors
  • As of Dec 2013, 312 seniors were being given a monthly pension - 140 in Kolkata, 105 in Chennai, 35 in Bangalore, 17 in Vijayawada and 15 in Vizagapatam.
  • Educating children
As of Dec 2013, 210 children were being educated - 55 boarders and 65 day scholars in Kolkata, 35 in Chennai, 30 day scholars in Hyderabad and 25 day scholars in Vijayawada.

2013 saw us increase the amount we sent to India from 65,000 USD (2012) to 71,700 USD (2013).
2013 saw us send India 4,301,760 rupees (around USD $71,700).

Finally, let me leave you with this quotation from James 2 Chaps 14-16:

quotes on My friends, what good is it for one of you to say that you have faith if your actions do not prove it? Can that faith save you? Suppose there are brothers or sisters who need clothes and don't have enough to eat. What good is there in you saying to them, "God Bless you! Keep warm and eat well!", if you don't give them the necessities of life? So it is with faith: If it is alone and includes no actions, then it is dead. quotes off
